Main field: rhomboidal mesh ornament with small meshes; central rectangular shield depicting the Boncza unicorn coat of arms, framed at the top by wide and long labres. Surrounded by a border with acanthus leaf motifs arranged in a tendril. Colors: dark red background; ornament in cream, celadon, and tobacco. Date: 1830s. Place of origin: Poland. Material: fabrics. Dimensions: height 248 cm, width 235 cm., A rectangular textile with a dominant red field and a patterned lattice of lighter lines filling the central area, bordered by a wide red band decorated with scrolling floral and acanthus motifs in shades of gold, ochre, and pale cream, with the border motifs repeated along all sides; in the center sits an ornate symmetrical emblem formed of pale cream and gold embroidered foliage and scrollwork surrounding a plain pale rectangular panel, and the lower edge of the textile has a curved cutout with matching decorative motifs; the overall background behind the textile is a flat neutral gray.
