Church cope, Liturgical vestment cope made of yellow-green silk fabric, embroidered along the edges with colorful floral sprigs around a winding ribbon and an applied floral tendril motif; design is difficult to read due to numerous patches. Floral motifs: flowers, leaves, plant ornaments. 2nd half of the 18th century, Poland. Height 128 cm, width 280 cm., A large semicircular fabric panel hangs against a pale background, showing a natural beige or tan color with subtle variations and darker streaks from creases and wear; the top edge is relatively straight with a small loop of slightly darker tan fabric and a narrow strip of muted reddish color near the center, and a tiny darker ring-like attachment a little to the right; the surface displays a few small dark spots and faint thin lines from folds, with the lower curved edge slightly irregular and the surrounding background appearing off-white and light gray.
