Velum, unknown author. Velum made of gold mesh fabric, embroidered with colorful silk threads in motifs of floral branches placed in the corners. Predominant colors: gold, blue, and silver. A cross made of narrow silver braid is sewn in the center. The edges are trimmed with gold braid. Blue silk lining. 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment. Height 48 cm, width 46 cm. Church vestments; floral ornaments; flowers; leaves; plant ornaments; sacred art; churches and chapels furnishings., A square textile with a gold-brown central field and a pale gold border, laid flat on a light gray background; the central area has a subtle net-like texture and a pale mark near the center forming a short cross shape; each corner of the textile shows a cluster of floral shapes in pale yellow, white, light green, and muted peach, with small pale green accents; the border is a slightly darker gold with a smooth sheen and the textile surface shows gentle wrinkles and creases.
