Stole, church paraments; white silk stole embroidered with a pattern of floral sprigs, without a distinct composition; the fabric was probably cut from a larger piece. Equal-armed crosses made of gold lace are sewn into the center of the stole's pallettes and waistband. The edges of the pallettes are trimmed with the same lace. 18th century, Poland; liturgical vestment; length 205 cm, width 18 9 cm., An off-white fabric sash with floral embroidery lies diagonally across a light gray background, forming a gentle V shape; the sash has a pair of wider, trapezoidal end panels edged with decorative trim and the body shows a repeating pattern of embroidered flowers and leaves in pink, red, green, and gold tones against a cream base.
