Stole, Church paraments; liturgical vestment made of silk, embroidered with carnation sprig motifs plant ornaments, flowers, leaves; sacred art; used in churches and chapels. Possibly related to a chasuble ca. 1750, Poland. Length 177 cm; width 14.5 6.5 cm., A long, narrow textile strip with widened ends lies against a pale background; the fabric is a light golden-beige with a slightly worn, frayed appearance and areas of darker gold sheen. A repeating vine-like motif in green runs along the length, accompanied by small floral shapes in muted gold and pale beige. The textile shows irregular patches of discoloration and slight tears revealing underlying threads, and the edges are uneven with loose fibers. The background is a soft, very light gray-lavender color.
