Embroidered pall. Embroidery on silk fabric. In the center is a large palmette stylized flower on a base; large leaves grow from the palmette and base with branches bearing small flowers on the sides. Edges trimmed with narrow silver bobbin lace. Composition indicates it was made from a fragment of a larger embroidered fabric. 18th century, Poland. Liturgical parament. Height 22 cm; width 20 cm., A square embroidered textile with ornate scalloped metallic trim around the edges, showing a large stylized floral motif at its center rendered in shades of tan, beige, gold, green, blue, pink, and pale purple, with additional leafy and petal shapes in muted green and pink tones on a light beige background; the embroidery includes textured stitching and sections of metallic thread creating raised and filled areas, and a few smaller decorative elements and curling tendrils surround the central motif.
