A gold equal-armed cross is applied at the center bottom. Edges trimmed with galloon; cotton lining. Early 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment, height 50 cm, width 50 cm., A square textile laid flat with a yellow border and a pale, slightly shiny central field. The central area shows a raised cross shape in a deeper yellow tone. Around the edges of the central field are floral embroidery motifs in shades of pink, peach, green, and a little blue. The background fabric appears silvery-beige with a subtle sheen, and the border has a textured yellow pattern. The overall colors visible are yellow, silvery-beige, pink, peach, green, and blue.
