Velum, Velum made of three fragments of white cream satin, embroidered. Below half the height in a medallion is a depiction of Christ at a column Flagellation of Christ iconography, framed by floral sprigs. Background with motifs of floral sprigs of various sizes, including tulips, roses, peonies, chrysanthemums, lilies, lilies of the valley, and sprigs with berries and strawberries. Embellished with gold galloon. Lining made of plain-weave cotton fabric. Flat embroidery with silk yarn in satin, cord, and banner stitches, as well as gold and silver metal thread in a laid stitch. Silk yarn in the following colors: red, cream, yellow, blue, purple, white, and green. 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment, fabrics. Height 52 cm, width 49 cm., A square canvas or fabric panel with a plain beige or tan woven surface showing subtle texture and faint variations in tone, with a slightly darker top edge and a few small, darker spots and marks scattered across; the edges show a narrow off-white or light gray border on the left and top, and there is a small cluster of light-colored rectangular tags or labels attached near the top right corner with a short piece of string, while a tiny darker marking appears near the bottom right edge.
