Fragment of fabric from a garment, Silk Factory Company, fabrics, silk, 2nd half 18th century. Decoration: small leafy twigs and two buds repeated in rows, alternating. Made on a wide loom over 78 cm; colors: crimson background with a rep weave; brocades in navy blue and ochre-silver. Pattern repeat: 4 x 2.5. Same fabric — PIECE 247. Place of origin: Grodno, Lithuania Grand Duchy of Lithuania; 1569–1795; Poland. Fabric, height 113 cm, width 39 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with a muted reddish-pink background laid against a dark background, covered in a repeating diagonal vine-like pattern in darker grayish-blue and pale beige tones, showing subtle horizontal creases and slight variations in the red color with some areas appearing more faded or darker, and narrow black margins visible along the left and right edges.
