Fragment of a maniple made of crimson silk fabric with a striped and fine-thread motif. Salmon background, gold stripes and throws with black, green, and blue accents. The preserved fragment contains one ending pallette with slightly rounded edges trimmed throughout with a round wire. An isosceles cross made of silver braid is sewn onto the pallette. Identical fabric preserved in two fragments cut into stole pallettes. Fabric used for sewing zupans and kontusz lapels, probably from Grodno. Pattern motifs: small flower sprigs between gold stripes. Colors: pale red grosgrain background; trim: gold metal thread; brocades: pale blue, black, light green, gold, yellow. 2nd half of the 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment; length 43 cm, width 18 cm., A long, narrow fabric piece with a rounded wider end, primarily pink with a faded, worn appearance, showing a pattern of horizontal pale blue-gray stripes and small floral motifs in green, dark blue, and lighter blue. The fabric has metallic gold thread accents along the stripes and a gold braided trim around the edges. There are a few decorative padded loops or tabs made from a pale cream lace-like material attached across the surface. The fabric shows areas of discoloration and fraying with lighter and darker pink patches and some exposed underlying threads. The background behind the fabric is a creamy off-white color.
