In the center is the figure of Mary or the Child on a stylized floral chalice. On the sides of the figure are two sprigs of lilies, and at the bottom edge are three flower heads. Pall trimmed with gold bobbin lace. Pink silk lining. Embroidery on a satin base applied to a silk satin fabric. Pierced and flat laid stitches made with metal threads, held in place with colored silk. The flower on which the figure stands is made of metal-braided threads arranged vertically and horizontally and interwoven in a weaving manner. The split and string stitches are made of silk yarn. The figure's hair is made of laid silk thread, tied in dense knots embroidery technique description. The figure's face is painted on parchment. 17th century, Poland; liturgical vestment.
