Velum, revindication provenance, church paraments, Eucharistic Lamb iconography, churches and chapels furnishings, Henryków German: Heinrichau, Church of St. Mary Magdalene Wroclaw ? — Velum or church cloth of white linen, embroidered with silk and gold thread. In the centre is a Lamb with a labarum and a chalice, into which blood spurts from its breast. Around the edges is an elaborate plant twig with motifs of grapes and flowers. In the central field, floral motifs are featured in the corners. Embroidery with pierced silk and metal thread, with cord and satin stitches. Some of the metal thread embroidery elements are made on a colored silk backing. The metal thread is a silver plate woven onto a silk or linen base. E. Soszko, 16th century, Silesia, liturgical vestment, height 63 cm, width 70 cm, A square piece of light-colored fabric with an embroidered border of floral and vine motifs in shades of pink, brown, and gold surrounding a plainer central area; the border features a dense arrangement of stylized flowers, leaves, and curling tendrils, while the center contains a small embroidered animal figure in dark brown with a raised head and an object nearby, and there are a few large floral clusters in muted gold and brown toward the corners; a rectangular patch of slightly different pale fabric is sewn near the lower center, and the overall palette includes off-white, pink, brown, gold, and hints of beige.
