Tapestry covering, creator unknown, provenance, floral ornaments and pastoral scenes with boys; fabrics used for interior decorations, furniture upholstery, hanging draperies at the top with flowers around. Colors: beige, cream, ochre, green, blue, and red. Post–mid-18th century; possibly Aubusson or Beauvais. Height 71 cm, width 58 cm., An embroidered textile mounted on a backing is visible, with a central faded scene surrounded by decorative borders; the textile shows worn areas and loose threads, with visible colors including beige, gold, red, green, blue, pink, and white. The outer mounting fabric is white and the immediate border around the textile is a deep red; inside that border the embroidered area has a predominantly beige and gold background with accents of green and pink florals, a central figure area with touches of blue and red, and darker brown and olive tones toward the lower portion. The top edge of the textile has a curved shape and a small metal ring attached, and the white mounting fabric is folded and draped unevenly around the edges with some creases. The embroidered surface appears textured with frayed threads and areas of wear, and there is a small rectangular patch of white fabric attached near the lower right edge.
