Kilim, Baraniuk fl. ca. 1890–1910. Kilim, 19th/20th century, Chortkiv Ukraine. Decorative tapestry/fabric, height 173 cm, width 115 cm. In the centre is a three-field cartouche with the White Eagle, Pogon, and an angel with swords. The coat of arms is topped by a crown and a heart with a cross within rays. Next to it are two banners with the dates 1794, 1830 and 1848, 1863. Below is a banderole with the inscription and dates: 1772 God save Poland 1793. No border; longer sides have geometric star motifs, shorter sides have stylized palmette motifs. Colors: light beige background with ornament in brown, red, and olive. Themes: coats of arms, emblems, Poland; associations with the Kosciuszko Uprising 1794, November Uprising 1830–1831, January Uprising 1863–1864, and the Partitions of Poland 1772–1795., A rectangular woven textile with a light beige background and a patterned border in olive green, black, dark red, pink, and pale yellow, featuring geometric floral motifs along the sides and ornate stepped designs at top and bottom; central imagery includes a crowned shield divided into sections with a white bird-like figure on a dark red field and a pale animal-like figure on a light field, a small human-like figure in muted greens and reds below, and a radiant sunburst motif in pale gold tones above with a small heart-topped element near its center, all rendered in muted reds, olive greens, pale yellows, blacks, and cream.
