Fragment of fabric. Fabrics, fragments of silk fabrics, patterned fabrics, fabrics with preserved selvedge. Weave: background - Gros de Tour; liseré - white; pattern - brocaded with colored threads and the liseré effect with a white thread creates a subreport. Brocade threads: white, light and dark green, pink, sky blue, pale red, orange, plum. Pattern: floral bouquets connected with lace and chenille ribbons. Report: 43 x ? Edge width: 0.5 cm. France, Lyon probably 19th century; possibly produced in a Lyon manufactory 1820–1840. Height 20.5 cm, width 96 cm., A long rectangular piece of fabric with a light beige background shows a worn embroidered pattern featuring several vertical clusters of frayed threads in shades of green and pink, with accents of reddish tones, scattered across the surface; sinuous vertical and diagonal bands of frayed blue-gray thread run between the clusters, and there are a few areas of pale cream raised embroidery that form partial circular motifs; the fabric edges are tattered with loose threads and small holes, and the overall color palette includes beige, green, pink, red, blue-gray, cream, and small touches of dark gray.
