Church napkin made of white linen, covered with white, partially openwork embroidery. In the center is a large stylized flower tree; on the sides are bouquets in vases. The bottom border features a floral tendril motif, punctuated at regular intervals with a candelabra motif. Tall vases and flowers stylized in an Eastern style. Late 18th century, Poland. Fabrics; height 81 cm, width 166 cm., A rectangular textile laid flat against a neutral background, showing an embroidered pattern across its surface; the fabric appears pale cream to off-white with visible lighter embroidered motifs creating a subtle raised design; the background behind the textile is a soft gray; the embroidery includes flowing, symmetrical shapes and floral-like motifs rendered in the same pale cream tone with hints of slightly darker beige in areas of wear or shading, and faint touches of muted bluish-gray showing through in small spots.
