Rectangular church napkin 113 x 123 cm, from which four others branch 86 x 57 and 57; 89 x 53 and 53. Made of white linen canvas, embroidered with white thread with motifs of large, stylised floral bouquets in the Eastern style, between which are smaller flowers; sewn with an insert of bobbin lace and trimmed with bobbin lace. The side rectangles are sewn from two pieces joined with lace; the middle one is also sewn together, but joined with embroidery. The embroidery motifs are similar to those on a napkin dated 1636. Lace: 17th century, ca. 1636, Poland. Fabrics. Height 314 cm, width 297 cm., A large cross-shaped textile made of a light fabric displayed flat against a gray background, with a central square panel and four rectangular extensions; the fabric is off-white to cream with areas of discoloration ranging to tan and light brown, showing faint decorative stitched patterns and delicate lace-like edging along the outer borders; there are visible creases, faint stains, small spots of darker discoloration, and subtle variations in texture across the panels.
