Tapestry embroidered in wool and silk on linen canvas. In the upper part, within a decorative cartouche, is the bust of a lady, her face framed by curls forming a hairstyle. Around it are dense scrolls of large leaves, flowers, and fruit. Unedged. Vivid colors: brown background, green, pink, red, blue, sapphire, and yellow ornament. The plant motifs of the nine fabrics comprising this set do not differ from each other. Stylized leaves, flowers, and fruit fill the entire surface of the panel. The composition unfolds on both sides of the axis, defining a symmetrical division of the decoration, similar to the large-pattern silk upholstery fabrics fashionable in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Minor differences include the inclusion of small animal silhouettes on some of them, which enrich the decoration. All fabrics are decorated with the same fruit: plump bunches of black and white grapes, yellow apples, and dark red cherries. The design includes a rich palette of colors: yellow, blue, red, green, brown, cream, white, and touches of pink and orange. The pattern repeats in stacked sections of stylized acanthus leaves, flowers, fruit-like shapes, and rounded bead-like elements, with curling tendrils and layered foliage filling the background. The embroidery shows dense, raised stitching creating textured, three-dimensional floral forms and scrollwork set against a darker ground. The overall composition is highly decorative and symmetrical, with mirrored motifs on each side and a continuous vertical arrangement of colorful botanical and ornamental elements.
