Embroidery: laid metal threads on bases of various heights made of linen threads. Metal threads in gold and silver: cut plate, plate braided on a silk thread, bullion, drawn wire, attached with linen and silk yarn. Embroidery with silk yarn in flat, split, and banner stitch. Attributed to 17th century, Poland. Materials: fabrics. Dimensions: length 90.5 cm, width 18 cm., A narrow vertical strip of worn fabric lies centered against a light gray background, showing a tan base with faded golden embroidery and traces of darker blue visible along its edges and through areas of wear; the fabric has frayed threads and irregular holes, with a repeating ornamental pattern and a slightly uneven, textured surface.
