Behind the uhlan are a scythe and lance with a pennant leaning against the column. In front of the uhlan are banners on the ground, next to them a White Eagle. In the lower right corner are the letters and the date HL1831. Dark cherry plush trim. 1831, Poland; fabrics; height 70 cm, width 70 cm., A textile panel framed by a wide burgundy border shows a central scene with muted gray-beige background and a variety of colored stitched elements. In the scene a seated male figure in a dark blue outfit with gold trim rests on a low green and pink surface, his hand to his face and a long staff or spear leaning nearby; a multicolored shield with red and white segments lies on the ground beside him along with a small helmet-like object in yellow and dark tones. To the right a pale bird with white and light gray feathers stands next to a draped dark purple cloth over a stone-like structure, and behind the seated figure a standing robed figure in black and pale tones appears elevated against soft cloudlike shapes. Foliage in shades of green and teal rises on both sides, and the ground area includes greens, browns, and ochre bands. The stitched work uses colors including burgundy, gray, beige, blue, gold, green, teal, purple, white, yellow, pink, red, and brown.
