With motifs of interpenetrating rhombuses and triangles; surrounded by a border with figures of hexagons surrounding a square, each containing inscribed ornaments resembling graphic symbols. Colors: beige background with ornament in light and dark brown. Woolen yarn used for the warp, indicating earlier creation. Potocki 1845–1913 noted that early tapestries were woven from cheap materials such as linen and cotton, later from wool and metal thread, and later still from silk and metal thread late 19th century, Buczacz. Fabric, tapestry; height 133 cm, width 140 cm., A rectangular woven textile hangs flat against a neutral pale background, showing a central panel with a repeating horizontal geometric motif in shades of tan and beige with darker brown accents, surrounded by a wide dark brown border patterned with a small repeating motif in lighter tan; the textile displays subtle variations in tone with areas of darker brown and reddish-brown discoloration toward the lower left, slight waviness along the edges, and a small shadow beneath the lower edge.
