Lace fragment, A leafy tendril with fruit is arranged along the lower edge. At the upper edge, a garland of small flowers and a wide tendril with Rococo elements. The lower edge is slightly serrated, in line with the arrangement of the motifs. Mid-18th century, Mechelen. Lace, width 19 cm, length 67 cm., A rectangular piece of sheer fabric with lace overlay laid flat against a gray background, featuring ornate floral and scrolling motifs in an off-white or cream color; the lace has a scalloped top edge and a straight bottom edge, with a few torn or frayed extensions of plain, sheer fabric at both ends in a slightly grayer off-white tone, and a small patch of discoloration in a pale beige near one end.
