Some rose flowers are in relief, with petals made separately and attached by one edge. 1st half of the 19th century, France, lace; width 15 cm, length 298 cm., A horizontal strip of decorative lace in cream color set against a gray background, featuring an intricate floral and botanical pattern with a few scalloped edges along the bottom, several repeating arched motifs, and a fine dotted mesh filling between the embroidered elements; the lace shows detailed leaf and flower shapes, curved vine-like lines, and a narrow woven border along the top.
