Mesh background of the ißsgrond and point de neige types, ca. 1750, Binche; lace, width 10 cm, length 118 cm., A long scalloped band of lace in off-white and cream tones lies horizontally against a muted gray background, showing an ornate floral pattern with several large stylized blooms, leaves, and curving vines worked in fine thread; the lace has areas of open mesh and denser embroidered motifs, with a few frayed edges and small irregularities in the fabric texture visible along the scalloped borders.
