Lace fragment, lace, Edge ornament on one side - a kind of net with numerous loops, small, round and slightly larger oval ones, into which small twigs are woven. Above the edge ornament, against the netting background, in regular projections alternate: a twig and a round point. 18th–19th century, France, lace, fabric, width 8.5 cm, length 408 cm, A horizontal strip of delicate lace in off-white displayed against a smooth medium-gray background, showing a fine hexagonal mesh with a scattering of small floral motifs made from looped stitches and tiny round accents across the upper portion, and a denser lower border featuring interconnected oval and circular motifs with scalloped edge detailing; the lace shows slight irregularities along its top and bottom edges and subtle shadows where it meets the background.
