Lace, fabric; 1st half of the 19th century, Europe. Width 12.5 cm, length 210 cm., A length of delicate lace ribbon is arranged in a zigzag across a smooth background; the lace is pale ivory with a pattern of small dotted mesh and vertical decorative lines, scalloped edges with floral-like loops, and areas where the fabric overlaps creating subtle variations in translucency; the background is a uniform medium gray.
