Lace fragment, Floral ornaments; lower edge serrated. In each oval there is a vase of flowers. Flower crowns overlap the serrations. Joined with spiderwebs, so-called Van Dyck. Date: 1630–1650. Place of origin: Flanders. Material: lace. Dimensions: length 200 cm, width 13.5 cm., A horizontal strip of decorative lace displayed against a dark background, featuring a repeating pattern of ornate floral and geometric motifs with scalloped upper edges; the lace is a light creamy beige color contrasted with the deep black background, showing openwork areas and solid embroidered sections that create a symmetrical, rhythmic design with leafy shapes, rounded vase-like forms, and delicate connecting loops.
