Pattern: vertically winding silver ribbon, entwined with a sprig of green-silver flowers with brown-cherry centers. The vertical arrangement is broken in places, creating a network, by the same horizontally winding silver ribbon. Colors: cream background, motifs – green, celadon, burgundy, brown. Width: edge: 0.7 x 0.8; repeat: approx. 50 x 26 cm. 18th century, France. Height 50 cm, width 48 cm., A square piece of worn fabric laid flat against a dark background, showing an overall pale beige base with faded printed outlines and worn areas; there are several patches of frayed green threads forming irregular horizontal shapes, patches of pale blue thread in small clustered floral-like shapes, and areas of off-white and dirty beige wear. The fabric surface has scattered stains in brown tones and small dark holes or tears, with visible weave texture and loose fibers along the edges, and a narrow strip of darker material visible at the bottom edge.
