Threads tied with a twill weave. Pattern: fancy fruits against a silver lace pattern. Hem width: 0.9 cm. 18th century, France. Height 39 cm, width 24 cm., A worn rectangular textile fragment with frayed edges rests against a dark background; the fabric shows a decorative woven pattern with floral and foliate motifs and a scalloped border area. The visible colors include yellow, gold, olive green, brown, beige, pale pink, red, and silver-gray. There are large stylized leaves and petal shapes, textured diagonal weaving, and areas with metallic-looking thread that create a shimmering effect. The right edge has a brighter yellow selvedge, while other edges show loose threads and slight discoloration.
