Size of the repeat larger than the preserved fragment. Dimensions: length 38 cm report larger than fragment, preserved panel height 51.5 cm, width 44 cm; edge width 0.6 cm. 18th century, France., A square piece of woven fabric with a pale bluish-gray background covered in an ornate floral and foliate pattern in colors including pale pink, dusty rose, deep pink, yellow, gold, and silvery-white, with a repeating arrangement of stylized flowers, fernlike leaves, and curved acanthus shapes; the fabric shows surrounding raw edges and slight fraying, and it is placed against a dark background with a narrow vertical seam visible beneath the fabric.
