Wardrobe Armoire, late 18th century, France. Rococo style with rocaille ornament, plant decoration, and rosettes. Cuboid wardrobe closed with double doors, richly carved and topped with a decorative board featuring an asymmetrical Rococo cartouche framed by rocaille motifs. Supported by four low legs — front legs slightly flattened spheres, rear legs block-shaped. Sides of the body and door leaves framed with three flat-carved panels bearing stylized plant motifs and rosettes on a star-punched background; frames symmetrically cut inside with a wavy profile. Board backs set in a rebate, fastened with dowels and nails; saw marks present. Interior: three narrowed central shelves with wooden galleries the fourth shelf is the upper surface of a compartment containing two drawers at the bottom; the upper shelf rests on openwork consoles with rocaille motifs. Shelves secured to the sides with large-diameter pins ~15 mm. Steel fittings; eyelet hinges secondary; push-pull lock not preserved. Furniture — storage furniture. Dimensions: height 223.5 cm, width 120 cm, depth 63 cm., A tall wooden cabinet photographed against a pale gray backdrop, showing its worn brown wood grain and textured vertical planks on the larger visible face, with carved decorative panels along the near side featuring ornate floral and geometric motifs in a slightly warmer brown tone; the top edge has a scalloped, cutout crest with irregular shapes and a darker brown finish, and the cabinet stands on short block feet and a rounded bun foot, with areas of lighter and darker brown, some small patches of pale discoloration, and a narrow strip of muted grayish-green near the base.
