Wardrobe Armoire, rococo ornament, rocaille ornament, plant decoration, rosettes, cuboid, closed with double doors, richly carved, topped with a decorative board with a rococo, asymmetrical cartouche framed with rocaille motifs. Supported by four low legs, the front ones slightly flattened spheres, the rear in block form. Sides of the body and door leaf framed with three flat-carved panels with stylized plant motifs and rosettes against a star-shaped punched background. Frames symmetrically cut on the inside with a wavy profile. Board backs set in a rebate, fastened with dowels and nails; with saw marks. Interior: three narrowed shelves in the middle section with wooden galleries, fourth surface forming top of a compartment containing two drawers at the bottom. Upper shelf rests on openwork consoles with rocaille motifs. Shelves connected to the sides with large-diameter pins approx. 15 mm. Steel fittings; eyelet hinges secondary; push-pull lock not preserved. Late 18th century, France; furniture, storage furniture. Height 223.5 cm, width 120 cm, depth 63 cm., A large wooden cabinet with its two doors open, showing interior shelves and carved decorative elements; the wood has warm brown and reddish-brown tones with darker brown areas and some lighter worn patches, and the carved crest at the top features ornate scrolling and shell-like shapes in similar brown tones; the doors have paneled construction and the interior shelves have scalloped carved edges and ornamental carved brackets in dark brown, while the cabinet stands on rounded bun feet that are darker brown; the background is a plain light gray to off-white.
