Console, Biedermeier and Louis Philippe styles, mahogany-veneered console on four angular legs mounted on a platform with a wavy outline. Front legs strongly curved; rear legs straight, flattened, with bases and capitals. Entire piece polished. Platform supported by four low turned legs. Lower sections of the legs composed of channel sections decorated at top and bottom with knobbed pinnacles. Wide frame repeating concave-convex shape of the top, rounded at front corners, wavy-cut at bottom, framed with a half-cylinder; front frame forms the face of the drawer. Top has a profiled edge connected to the frame with cube side panels. Drawer has two rows of compartments inside; small front-corner compartments with rosewood covers. Drawer secured by a single-bolt mortise lock. Dated 1835–1850. Piece of furniture table. Height 82 cm, width 107.2 cm, depth 45 cm., A wooden table with a polished brown finish sits against a pale gray background; the tabletop has a curved rectangular shape with a darker brown top and slightly lighter brown rounded edges, and the apron beneath shows a scalloped decorative edge and a small dark keyhole-shaped opening. The table stands on a pair of ornate curved supports on each side that feature carved scroll details and darker brown carved finials, and a straight square leg at the back on each side. A lower wooden stretcher with a scalloped outline connects the supports and legs, showing the same warm brown tones and wood grain. The overall colors visible are shades of brown in the wood and a neutral pale gray background.
