Chair, furnishings of representative buildings of the Republic of Poland 1918–1939, Biedermeier style, klismos. CHAIR with a trapezoidal padded seat removable cushion, rectangular openwork backrest filled with a wavy-cut crossbar; supported by sabre-shaped legs, the rear ones passing into the backrest stiles. The side frames, S-shaped, connected to the front legs and the side stiles of the backrest, frame the seat; the front and rear frames, straight, placed below the side stiles, support the cushion. 1820–1840, Warsaw; seating furniture, piece of furniture. Height 86.5 cm, width 44.3 cm, depth 44.5 cm., A wooden chair with a curved backrest and a carved horizontal slat, a padded seat upholstered in a brownish-golden fabric, gently tapered legs with a light to medium wood grain finish, and a plain neutral background in shades of light gray; visible colors include brown, golden-brown, light wood tones, and gray.
