Wardrobe, vernacularism style, plant decorations, Zakopane style. A cubicle-shaped wardrobe in the Zakopane style, of carved oak, closed with double doors, with a drawer at the bottom, supported by four low console legs. Framed door leaves with single panels in the lower section engraved with stylized, elongated flowers, and with stave filling at the top creating a sun motif so-called rays. Framed sides and back with panels two and three; board drawer faces. Narrow crowning cornice, decorated with applied routins and corbels, and a zigzag pattern so-called gadzik. The cover strip is carved with a zigzag, a star, and stylized lilies so-called lilies. The whole was originally topped with a removable gallery attached with swivel tops. Inside, two hangers in the form of strips with peg hooks. Elongated brass lock plates, drawers with pull handles. Base door lock: espagnolette with brass plates; drawers: mortise, single-bolt, with brass plate. Early 20th century, Zakopane place of origin?, Poland. Piece of furniture, storage unit. Dimensions: height 184 cm, width 127 cm, depth 60.2 cm., A wooden wardrobe stands against a neutral gray background, with visible wood grain in shades of dark brown and lighter tan panels on the doors; the top edge has carved geometric trim in dark brown, and the feet and base are also dark brown. The two front doors show lighter tan fan-shaped insets near the top and carved floral and curved motifs in darker brown on the lower sections. There are metal key escutcheons on each door in a muted brass tone and a small metal handle on a lower drawer in a similar metallic color. The overall piece displays rectangular panels, carved detailing along the center seam, and a slightly raised top surface, with tones of dark brown, tan, and muted brass.
