Columns with smooth shafts. Plinths, bases, and capitals of the columns stained black. Shelves with a striped rim creating a kind of small, full gallery. Plate platform, on low block legs-pads, ca. 1830, Central Europe, piece of furniture for presenting objects, height 168 cm, width 105.5 cm, depth 49.5 cm, A freestanding wooden shelving unit with a light golden-brown wood grain finish and darker brown accents, standing against a neutral light gray background. The piece has a rectangular stepped top with dark brown trim, supported by a frame of vertical round columns at the front corners and rectangular supports at the back. Several flat horizontal shelves span between the supports, showing the same golden-brown wood grain pattern. The bases of the front columns have dark brown circular and square elements, and the unit rests on a rectangular plinth base finished in the same golden-brown wood. The overall colors visible are light golden-brown, dark brown, and light gray.
