Chair, furnishings of representative buildings of the Republic of Poland 1918–1939, Administration of the Imperial Palaces in Warsaw 1815–1915, eagles, plant decoration, landscapes, Empire style. Mahogany chair with a padded seat removable cushion and an openwork backrest topped with an arched pelta-shaped board supported by a pair of eagles. The front legs are club-shaped, upper section carved with acanthus leaves; the rear legs are angular, curved outward in an arched manner. The seat and frame are straight at the front, arched at the back. The backrest rails are an extension of the rear legs, one-third of the height arched inward, fastened at the bottom with a turned black link. Early 19th century, Warsaw; seating furniture; height 83.1 cm, width 48 cm, depth 52 cm., A wooden chair with a dark brown curved backrest and dark brown frame, featuring carved ornamental blocks with gold-colored detailing where the back connects to the seat; the seat is upholstered in a striped fabric with blue and light-colored stripes; the front legs are black and turned with gold-colored carved capitals, while the rear legs are dark brown and slightly splayed; the background is a light neutral color and the chair casts a soft shadow.
