The piece has a smaller upper chest with three drawers flanked by columns and decorative panels, sitting atop a larger lower case with a central recessed compartment behind a small door and a drop-front panel covered in worn red material with a metal latch. The lower section includes a group of drawers on each side framed by dark columns and rectangular panels that show lighter wood inlays with textured surface details. The cabinet rests on rounded black bun feet and shows polished wood grain, contrasting black trim, and small round wooden knobs on many of the drawers.
