Console, Simmler, Jakub Jan 1791-1872 carpenter author, acanthus ornament, volutes, kimation ornament, rosette ornament, Biedermeier style. Rectangular console, supported by four supports the front S-shaped, widened at the top, the rear angular placed on a platform, veneered with mahogany, carved. The platform has a wavy cut at the front. The frame is straight, enclosed by a flap at the bottom, under the top processed with lesbian kimation with leaves with semicircular tips. The lower and upper volutes of the front legs are decorated with acanthus leaves on the front, and with rosettes on the sides. The rear edges of the front legs are enclosed by half-rolls. At the bottom of the side frames, between the legs, are decorative aprons made of acanthus twigs. The platform frame is braced with two additional slats. 1830–1840, Warsaw. Furniture; table. Height 88.4 cm, width 122.7 cm, depth 53.6 cm., A wooden console table with a rich brown finish and carved scroll legs stands against a white wall with molding, and above it hang a pair of framed portrait paintings in gold frames; the portraits show two people with darker muted backgrounds, one featuring darker clothing and the other showing lighter skin and a light-colored garment, while the room displays white walls, brown wood flooring, and the gold frames, brown table, white wall and brown floor are the prominent colors.
