Game table, Rectangular with an extendable top square when extended with rounded, protruding corners, supported by four cabriole legs ending in hoof-shaped feet. Foot stained walnut; top veneered in walnut with inlay. Rear frame two-part: outer composed of two rotating frames on wooden hinges with legs attached on the inner side supporting the foldable top plate. Outer side of top framed by a crosswise frame with an asymmetrical, oval-shaped field, enclosed by channel bars and a ribbon, filled with floral and rocaille ornamentation. Inner side of tabletop has a wide walnut-veneered frame; center lined with green cloth. Game furniture, table; 1745–1770; Central Europe, possibly Saxony. Dimensions: height 74.6 cm, width 95 cm, depth 49 cm., A wooden tabletop seen from above with a warm brown and golden finish, showing wood grain patterns and a central decorative inlay with curved shapes and floral-like motifs; the tabletop has rounded corners on one side and straight edges on the other, with visible seams where wood panels meet and a few darker streaks and small blemishes. Below the tabletop, the tops of wooden legs and apron are visible in similar brown tones with smoother areas and slight wear. The background is a flat light gray.
