Chair with footrest, seat, and backrest composed of five slatted elements, richly inlaid with bone and mother-of-pearl with stylized plant patterns. Supports are connected to each other and to the seat with wooden pins enabling the structure to be folded and unfolded, terminating at the bottom with decoratively carved runners. The backrest is topped with a wide board with a wavy outline resembling a triangle. The slats are decorated on the front and sides with plant tendrils, topped with symmetrical geometric decoration at the bottom and a plant tendril with flowers at the top. The pins are topped with turned knobs. 2nd half 19th century, possibly Syria. Piece of furniture seating. Height 97 cm; width 44.2 cm; depth 57.2 cm. Materials: wood inlaid with bone and mother-of-pearl; geometric and plant decoration., A decorative wooden folding chair with dark brown wood and white inlaid floral and leaf patterns, featuring a carved ornate top with a fan-like lattice and flower motifs, a slatted seat and tall slatted back with repeated leaf inlays, curved and carved legs forming an X-shaped folding support with matching white teardrop inlays, and small rounded finials on the sides, shown against a plain light background with soft shadows.
