Upholstery illustrates scenes and motifs from Jean de La Fontaine’s fairy tales 1621–1695: fairy-tale scenes with wolves, vultures, birds and pigeons, animals, wells, flowers, shells Rococo ornament, Rococo style, cabriole legs. Third quarter of the 18th century. Seating piece of furniture; height 107.3 cm, width 76.8 cm, depth 77.5 cm., The image shows the back and side of an ornate upholstered armchair with a carved wooden frame finished in gold. The chair has a tall back with a plain light-colored fabric panel, curved arms with padded armrests covered in patterned fabric, and a patterned seat cushion in muted tones. The wooden frame features decorative carved details on the legs, apron, and arm supports, and the legs end in curled feet. Visible colors include gold on the frame, light beige on the back panel, soft pink and muted green in the patterned upholstery, and a neutral gray background.
