Library cabinet, fantasy animals, columns, Biedermeier style, egg-shaped ornament, cabinet with straight sides and front, with a drawer at the top and bottom, single-leaf, supported by a high plinth with console legs. Entire unit veneered with mahogany. Columns in the front corners. Door leaf glazed, divided into two sections by a horizontal muntin. Finial features a triangular, flattened pediment and a stepped, two-stage canopy. Crowning cornice features a gilded egg-shaped pediment. Pediment features brass appliqués — two seahorses and a Medusa head missing. Three shelves inside. Steel pintle hinges. Mortise-type locks, single-bolt, with steel plates. Other fittings combined handle and lock plates not original. 1830–1840, Germany. Furniture; storage furniture. Height 167 cm, width 96.5 cm, depth 41 cm., A wooden display cabinet with a polished brown finish and visible wood grain, featuring a glass-fronted central section with a few interior shelves, a lower drawer, and decorative metal hardware in a gold tone. The cabinet has two rounded vertical columns flanking the glass, a stepped top with a small raised backboard, and a narrow decorative trim with a gold accent along the edges. The overall colors visible are brown wood tones, gold metal accents, and the dark grayish-black of the glass interior, set against a pale gray background.
