Cuboid cabinet with a drawer at the top and double doors below, richly decorated with openwork engraved fittings with grotesque motifs. The door leaves are veneered on the inside with rosewood and ebony in geometric arrangements, divided by inlaid bone veins, with figures in engraved bone, signed — Hippocrates on the left, Hermes on the right. Behind the door are twelve compartments. Drawer and door locks fitted with engraved steel plates; drawer lock blocks the left door leaf. Steel hinges. Late 17th century, Northern Germany, Poland . Piece of furniture, storage piece; height 70.1 cm, width 89.2 cm, depth 55.9 cm., A wooden chest with a dark brown finish sits against a light gray background, its front decorated with ornate dark metal fittings and a central metalplate with elaborate scrollwork; the chest's top shows darker metal straps and corner reinforcements. The front lower section opens to reveal a grid of shelves made from the same dark brown wood, forming a series of rectangular compartments; both hinged doors are open, each door featuring inset panels with black sections framed by lighter brown wood and a central oval plaque in a gold tone depicting a standing figure. Visible colors include dark brown, lighter brown, black, gold, dark metallic gray, and light gray in the background.
