Bedside table with toilet, 4th quarter of the 18th century, England. Bedstand with toilet, with a tambour door in the upper section and a pull-out section below with a circular opening for a bedside chamber pot with a lid. Supported by four angular stand-up legs; the front legs divided diagonally in half, the front half connected to the front, wavy-cut board of the pull-out section at the bottom. Pull-out handle of gilded brass. The opening cover is turned, recessed in the center, with a round handle. Front and side walls of the body have wavy-cut tops with oval openings as handles. A blind consisting of two parts that slide sideways, with small brass knobs. A piece of furniture for hygiene. Height 82 cm, width 59.2 cm, depth 45 cm., A wooden chair seen from the back with a dark reddish-brown finish, straight square legs, and a rectangular back panel topped with a gently curved crest that has a small oval cutout; the background is a uniform mid-gray and the floor is a lighter gray, with soft shadows beneath the chair.
