Oval display table with lyre-shaped base mounted on a platform with a concave-convex outline, supported by four spherical legs. Veneered with mahogany. Lyre strings terminate at the top with balls. Edge of the tabletop frame is profiled. Circa 1820–1840, Central Europe. Piece of furniture for displaying objects. Dimensions: height 76.7 cm; width 52.3 cm; depth 37.9 cm., A wooden lyre-shaped table with a rich brown finish set against a neutral gray background; the top is an oval wooden surface with a slightly raised edge and a darker brown hue, supported by curved side supports that form the lyre shape, connecting to a rectangular central post; a horizontal bar across the lyre holds a set of vertical thin wooden rods topped with small rounded finials, all in matching brown tones; the base is a rounded, contoured wooden platform on small rounded feet, also brown.
