Two-stage pedal harp, 43-stringed, Empire style, carved, gilded, and polychromed. The column is a fluted column topped with a capital tapering downward with applied plaster-modeled decoration: at the top, a frieze with winged figures holding straight trumpets and lyres; below, three caryatids with wings and wreaths, between them palmettes, rosettes, and pearls. The arm is S-shaped, painted indigo, with gold-painted veins. The soundboard tapers upward, rounded at the back, painted indigo, with double gilded frames, and a spruce top. The semicircular base, on low legs with carved necks, with palmettes and a female head in a wreath on the front, houses 7 brass two-step pedals for tuning and 1 single-step pedal for opening the sound holes. 1829, London.
