Harmonium, Jacob Deutschmann 1795–1853, 1822–1830. Fisharmonia veneered with mahogany, with a sliding mechanism and keyboard placed in an elongated rectangular case supported by two stringer legs; signed on the inside of the keyboard cover J. DEUTSCHMANN / IN WIEN brass sheet inlay. The legs and suspended pedal support lyre are in the shape of elongated vases. Forged openwork steel pedals. The keyboard table slides forward. Bone knobs on the upper part of the short sides lock the inner casing. Keyboard cover locks with a latch and braided hinges so-called piano. Biedermeier style. Vienna. Musical instrument; height 66 cm, width 100.6 cm, depth 27.9 cm., A long wooden keyboard module sits on a pale gray surface with its detached wooden lid placed behind it. The keyboard body is a dark brown wood with visible grain, topped by a lighter wood strip along the keys. The keys themselves are alternating light and dark colors, with the lighter keys appearing off-white and the darker keys appearing black or very dark brown. The detached lid is a natural light wood tone with an inner lining that looks off-white or cream and has metal fittings at the ends. The overall color palette includes pale gray, dark brown, light brown, off-white, cream, black, and a small hint of metallic color on the fittings.
