Front legs spool-turned, on brass rollers with clamps; rear legs angular, tapered, slightly arched backwards, continuing into backrest frames. Low frame with rounded front corners. Upholstery fabric not original; damask with large floral pattern in purple and cream, finished with upholstery tape. Ca. 1840, Warsaw. Seating furniture; height 97.5 cm, width 48 cm, depth 53.7 cm., A wooden chair with a curved back and upholstered seat is shown against a plain grey background; the wood has a dark brown, reddish tone and a polished finish, the back and seat upholstery are an off-white or cream fabric with visible stitching and slightly frayed edges, the backframe features a shaped outline and exposed inner padding along its edge, the front legs are turned with rounded, carved shapes and end in small brass-colored casters while the rear legs are straight and dark brown.
