The sleigh is in the shape of a gondola made using the dugout canoe method, painted blue, with a wavy upper rim highlighted by a half-cylinder and channel sections with rocaille motifs. Front fashioned as a mascaron painted red, framed with acanthus leaves; rear has a trestle originally upholstered with a carved acanthus beneath. Inside the sled are four sockets for connection with skid supports. Subjects/ornament: mascarons, men's heads, rocaille, acanthus.
